Primary Petroleum adds expertise to Advisory Board

Primary Petroleum reports the appointment of Mr. P. Ted Doughty, Ph.D, P.Geol., and Mr. Peter Carwardine to Primary’s Advisory Board. 

Mr. Doughty is the founder of PRISEM Geosciences Consulting LLC, which provides comprehensive geological consulting services to the petroleum industry. Mr. Doughty received his B.A. degree in geology from Washington University in St. Louis in 1986 and his M.Sc. degree from the University of Montana in 1990. He worked for Amoco Production Company in Denver as an exploration geologist from 1990-1991. Following completion of his Ph.D. from Queens University in 1995, he joined Exxon as a research geologist and exploration geologist from 1996 to 1999.  Returning to academia, he taught at Eastern Washington University as an associate professor for eight years before forming PRISEM Geoscience in 2005. Since then he has consulted with various companies on conventional and unconventional exploration in the Rockies and in the lower 48.

 Mr. Carwardine is the President of Baycrest Energy Ltd., a private oil and gas firm based in Calgary, Alberta. Baycrest provides consulting services and business advisory services to selected clients in North America. Mr. Carwardine was most recently the President, CEO and a Director of Nexstar Energy Ltd., a publicly traded (TSX-V) oil and gas company based in Calgary, Alberta. Nexstar was sold in February 2010 to Result Energy Ltd. Nexstar was the first company involved in the successful drilling of horizontal Cardium light oil in the Pembina area of Alberta. Mr. Carwardine is a member of the Canadian and American Association of Petroleum Landmen, is a graduate of the University of Texas (BBA) and has over 30 years of oil and gas operational, business and management experience.
