Gas Prices Surge to Almost $3 in Rhode Island

The oil price has reached $78.51 per barrel in New York Mercantile Exchange trading this Monday. This is by far the biggest gain in seven months. This translates to $2.97 per gallon which is up 2 cents from the previous week.

According to the survey conducted by AAA, “Prices also rose in Massachusetts. The AAA survey found the average price of self-serve, unleaded regular was $2.87 per gallon in the Bay State, up 1 cent from last week and 10 cents below Rhode Island’s average.”
