Pennant Energy Inc. – Oil and Gas Exploration at the Bigstone Property, Northern Alberta

Overview

Pennant Energy Inc.  (CVE:PEN; FSE:NP6) is a junior oil and gas exploration and production Company with all of its projects located in Alberta and Manitoba, Canada. Pennant has recently announced the joint venture and drilling of its Bigstone Montney Project.  The Bigstone Montney project is a low risk potentially large reward project and the Company is pleased to provide the following video that effectively illustrates how the Company plans on using recently developed technology.

Multi-stage horizontal Drilling and Fracturing, to re-enter a previously drilled reservoir called the Montney Formation. Our Bigstone Project is comprised of 7 sections of contiguous land that has been drilled into 4 times many years ago, which discovered oil and gas. Unfortunately for the companies that drilled those wells the oil and gas would not flow up to the surface and the wells were all abandoned. When looking for oil and gas you are not looking for “Pools, rivers or pockets” of oil and gas but rather rock formation that hosts the oil and gas, think of a piece of coral or an Aero chocolate bar that has little air pockets, called “porosity.” The connecting of those little pockets “permeability” allows the oil and gas to flow.

The Montney formation here has porosity and hosts large reservoirs of oil and gas but extremely poor permeability so when the wells were drilled in the past the companies could not get the wells to flow. As these wells have already been drilled and show oil and gas a lot of the risk has been removed. It is not a matter of “lets drill and see if we find oil and gas” but rather, let us use new technology to bring a reservoir that someone else already discovered for us, and put it into production. The video will show you how we can enter the Montney formation and “Man make permeability” that should get the oil and gas to flow, just like our neighbours have been so successfully doing.

Chief Projects

Bigstone Property – Northern Alberta, Canada

The Bigstone Property is 250 kilometers northwest of Edmonton, Alberta, lying within the Deep Basin Corridor and Alberta Montney natural gas trend.

Bigstone is divided into seven sections of farmin lands and hosts four vertical wells, each of which encountered similar Montney sequences as Celtic Exploration Ltd.’s test wells at Fir Field, 5 miles south of Bigstone. The Fir Field well tested flow rates of approximately 3.5 mmcf/day with 75 bbls/mmcf of NGL liquids for a total of 225 bbls of NGL’s /day.

Donnybrook Energy Inc. currently owns 100% interest in Bigstone’s seven sections of lands and licenses, but in March, Pennant Energy signed a farm out agreement with Donnybrook to drill a horizontal test well at Bigstone, and upon completion of the test well and other terms, Pennant Energy will earn 25% interest in Donnybrook’s Bigstone lands.

Donnybrook began drilling at the Montney formation on Bigstone August 25th. The test well will be drilled for 1400 m and is expected to take 42 days to complete.

Management

Thomas Yingling – President and Director
Pennant’s President Thomas Yingling is a successful seasoned venture capitalist who benefits from over 17 years experience in running resource based public companies. Mr. Yingling has served for over 15 years as President of Brahma Communications Corp., an investment consulting firm that specializes in corporate finance, investor relations and strategic corporate planning for publicly traded companies.

He effectively restructured Pennant Energy from a floundering mining Company to a successful oil and gas producer. Thomas through his diligence and hard work has positioned the Company on the path to success by creating a strong foundation, exemplary management team and stable cash flow for the shareholders of Pennant Energy.

James Britton – P. Geol. P. Eng, Senior Geologist/Engineer, Director
Mr. Britton brings to the Company a wealth of experience spanning over 45 years in the oil and gas exploration and development business. During his distinguished career, he has been instrumental in successfully commercializing over 430 oil and gas wells, some of which are still prolific producers. Mr. Britton has the much envied track record of drilling 86% commercially successful wells.

Most recently, they include his discovery of a major strike in the B.C. Foothills for Dynamic Oil & Gas, Inc. – a company in which he rose to the position of Vice President, Exploration and Development. Before retiring from the company in late 2003, he was also credited with the re-completion of a well in Alberta’s St Albert Oil Pool, which led to the development of 60 billion cubic feet of reserves and a deliverability of 16 million cubic feet of gas per day.

David Finn – Director
David Finn is a well-regarded petroleum consultant who has been active in the oil & gas business for over 30 years. He began his oil and gas career as an employee with Amoco Canada Petroleum Company Ltd. in the geological and engineering departments where he was involved in petrophysical and economic analysis of company interests in the Western Canadian sedimentary basin. From Amoco he moved to the British Columbia Petroleum Corporation where he was responsible for monitoring the development activity and natural gas performance of northeastern British Columbia gas fields.

During the last decade, Mr. Finn has consulted primarily to Gilbert Lausten Jung Associates Ltd. (“GLJ”) — one of Canada’s most respected oil & gas engineering firms. As a consultant to GLJ he provided evaluation services for new emerging public and private companies including preparation of reports for securities and financial institutions, property acquisition/disposition analysis and drilling prospect reviews. Properties evaluated included most of the conventional oil and gas areas of the Western Canadian sedimentary basin, shallow gas reservoirs of southeastern Alberta and non conventional basin centered gas reservoirs of the Green River Basin, Wyoming.

Patrick Power – Vice President, Secretary and Director
Patrick Power is president of several publicly traded companies, including Arctic Star Diamond Corp. and Austin Developments Corp, an emerging, publicly-listed oil & gas exploration/production company. In these various roles, Mr. Power benefits from over 15 years of experience in venture capital markets, as well as many years previously in the financial securities industry. An adept financier, Mr. Power also serves as a director of several other publicly-listed natural resource exploration companies.

Mr. Rod Morris
Mr. Morris has been active in oil and gas exploration for the past 28 years. He has worked with Dome Petroleum, Petrel Robertson Consultants, Mannville Oil and Gas, Rosetta Exploration and G2 Resources.

Mr. Morris currently consults to Pennant and represents Pennant’s interests in Alberta. The mandate is to find low risk projects for Pennant to participate in that can lead to ongoing exploration and development opportunities.
